Like many good stories, Tangled Vines began with a simple idea.
For years, Jim Gomez (our head vintner) and Jen Troupe (our CEO of everything else) talked about creating something of their own. Then life slowed down during the pandemic, and they found themselves with an unexpected opportunity to finally give that dream a chance.
"We had nothing else to do, but make wine, to survive."
From a Little Dream to a Beloved Winery
They started making wine, sharing bottles with family and friends, and gathering honest feedback from their very-willing taste testers. The response was overwhelming! People loved what they were creating.
What started as a hobby quickly became something more, and Tangled Vines Winery officially began to take shape.
In the spring of 2020, the first 100 vines were planted in Centre Township, including Traminette and Baco Noir varieties that would become part of the winery's story.
Today, Tangled Vines is proud to call Perry County home. Located just minutes from Little Buffalo State Park, the winery has become a destination for both locals and visitors looking to slow down, enjoy the scenery, and experience the warmth of small-town hospitality.
